Crossing the finish line – Military 10k run

Posted on

The ES&P BMF team completed their 10km challenge on Saturday 5th March 2011.

During the 10km course through Phillips Park, Whitefield, the challengers were forced to run through rivers and bogs, crawl through mud, and get up muddy hills to earn their sponsorship. Everyone managed to complete the challenge, albeit covered in water, mud, sweat and tears.

The team managed to raise a fantastic £610. The money raised will be divided equally between Helping Hands Trust and Comic Relief. Comic relief is on 18th March 2011 and we will be fundraising across the company over the next two weeks to add to the amount raised by the BMF-ers.

The BMF 10km challenge was a considerable achievement for the team, and they made it as difficult as possible for themselves by choosing the toughest option of 10km rather than the 5km challenge.

Although the consensus from the challengers is “never again” I’m sure they have a fantastic sense of achievement to go along with all their bruises! They did themselves proud, so well done everyone!
