Helping Hands Trust is delighted to confirm that we have granted funding to the Shangri-La Children’s home in Nepal for another year. Our donation will support the annual running costs of the home and we have also agreed to fund the installation of a pipeline to the house to enable a better water supply.
We have also agreed to support the purchase of a buffalo for the home! Buffalo are a traditional addition to Nepali homes and Shangri-la’s manager, Krishna, feels it would be a useful skill for the children to learn how to look after one, possibly breed from it and also benefit from its milk. Its manure would also be useful for the vegetable garden. We look forward to our next update from the home with their new member of the family in residence!
